Residential placement upheld by State Review Office

J.C. has Asperger syndrome and had been committed to a psychiatric facilitiy. His last educational placement had been a disaster. He had not received educational services for the better part of the last two years. The parent wanted a residential placement and remarkably, the school district defended the appropriateness of the day program recommendation. The parent was represented by Jeff Marcus. The hearing officer ruled in favor of the parent as did the State Review Office. Read about the case here.
